I really enjoyed this. I loved visual image of a bare-chested Indy--I think Harrison Ford was at his sexual peak when he made this movie. And I loved the little twist of Belloq having already located the crown. It very much stays true to the tone of the movie(s).
Ooooh, that "au revoir" at the end was perfect, too. ;-)
I never really thought about pairing Indiana with Belloq, but I never really bought Indy's attraction to Marion, either, so this kind of makes sense. (Actually, I never really bought any of his romantic relationships in any of the movies--he always seemed like someone more interested in his work and obtaining whatever artifact than sex.)
