Summary: Batwoman meets Catwoman. For the prompt "Rooftop Meetings"
PURSUIT
“I heard there was a new Bat in town but I didn’t believe it,” said Selina. “You think you’re man enough to fill Batman’s shoes?”
“You aren’t the first to ask that question,” Kate responded. She eyed Selina up and down, the woman was gorgeous in that black leather catsuit.
“You still haven’t answered it.”
“It’s a bit of a moot point, isn’t it? I’m here, Batman is not, and someone needs to handle you.”
“Now here’s where it gets fuzzy,” Luke said to her the next day. “I didn’t quite catch what she said next, but you followed her?”
“That’s what one does when one’s in pursuit.”
“Back to her apartment.” Luke filled up a cup of coffee and took a sip.
“Uh-huh,” said Kate, thinking it was way too early for this line of inquiry.
“Where you didn’t leave until this morning.”
“I used the back entrance.”
“That’s not the point. You were supposed to apprehend her.”
“I did. Several times.”
Luke spat out his coffee.
“Why the hell were you spying on me anyway?”
“I wasn’t spying. You went out in the suit. You don’t go out in the suit unless you’re after bad guys.”
“She’s got a thing for bats, and well, I’ve got a thing for-“
“Don’t finish that sentence.”
