Prompt me!

I'm in the mood to do a little comment ficcage, so give me a character or pairing/fandom/prompt word and we'll see what I can come up with.

“Geez, O’Reily. I’m starting to think that these little kitchen slips of yours aren’t accidents,” said Alvarez as he wound the bandage around Ryan’s arm. “Got a crush on Doctor Nathan?”

Ryan didn’t respond, so Miguel continued. “I’ll admit, she’s a fine-looking woman. Doesn’t have the curves of my Maritza, of course, but she is the prettiest thing to look on in this place.” His eyes slid down O’Reily’s body and he amended, “One of the prettiest.”

“Gloria doesn’t give me the time of day,” stated Ryan.

“I know. This is what? The fourth time I had to patch you up?”

“Fifth.”

Miguel’s fingers faltered a bit after Ryan’s admission. “Oh.”

Green eyes met brown. “Yeah.” Ryan didn’t feel the need to say anything more until Miguel finished up. “Thanks,” he whispered, getting up to leave.

As he was halfway to the door, Miguel called out, “Hey, O’Reily. Want me to kiss it and make it better?”

The “fuck you” rolled smoothly off Ryan’s tongue, but the twinkle in his eyes spoke of another visit, another opportunity for contact in the near future.

O, it is so nicely nice, and sweetly sweet, and I'm so glad you wrote it! I really love the idea you used here, it is very well written, and it's a really lovely little moment between them!
Gives a whole new perspective on that "O'Reily-cut-himself-in-the-kitchen-scene"...and well, I like it very much! :)

A little self-promotion: I don't know if you've checked out my Double Negatives series, but I think it's something that you might enjoy (it concerns the evolution of Ryan's sexuality through five different encounters).

O, of course I've read that! It was one of the first Oz fics I've found and loved and re-read several times...a real classic...at least in my little world. And it is so beautifully structured...and oh, hm, maybe you already know all that stuff, being the writer who wrote it!
Anyway, thanks for reminding me of that fic, you guessed pretty much right with that! I love that series! :)

BTW, is there any Oz pairing that you haven't seen out there much that you'd like to see more of?

O, I'm happy that I was able to make your day! :)

O, and of course there are a lots of dearly missed and never written fics and pairings I'm always searching for!
For example as far as I know only two person has written Alvarez/Keller, and I consider it a very dynamic and interesting pairing, and I've never found Beecher/Alvarez (I absolutely understand this pairing sounds pretty weird, to be honest...).
And my firm belief is the the world needs more Murphy/O'Reily and I've not even mentioned Bellinger (with anyone)! And poor ignored Father Ray!...and so few O'Reily/Beecher fics around...!
And I can go on with such a rambling for ages... :)

Have you got some recs for "relatively-rare-pairing" Ozfics like that?
(Sometimes all these little ones are so hard to find!)

Awwww I love this pairing! It should be more Alvarez/O'Reily slash around here. I am happy you've written it. I could imagine Miguel's hauntingly yet soft eyes and deep voice saying “One of the prettiest.” ooooh and the glint in Ryan's eyes. Ahhhh, people should write this pairing more!
