I was presented with the challenge- your OTP's favorite (new) holiday tradition- and this popped into my mind almost immediately. It's a sequel to Mistletoe which I wrote for the Xmas songs challenge at hardtime100 last year. So, without further ado...

So, just about 10 years ago, Trillingstar went around randomly pairing up different icons in her collection for what was called "The Crossovers of Guh meme". One of these pairings was Malcolm Reynolds of 'Firefly' and Ryan O'Reily of 'OZ'. Never having met a rare pair that I didn't like, I jumped at the challenge to write the couple, beginning with How Ryan O'Reily Escaped from Oz, Trillingstar jumped in with Breaking Atmosphere. These were followed by You Always Wanted to Travel and In Limbo. Trillingstar has made the most recent contribution to this series in 2018 with The Haunting of Ryan O'Reily. Flash forward to today and this way-beyond-a-drabble came into my head as I was looking for an entry for Femslash February. As always, anyone is welcome to jump aboard and contribute to this 'verse wherever they see fit.

This is for the bingo prompt "Wall/Desk Sex" over at seasonsofkink on DW. Set in Season 4a after McManus gets fired when Sean is the interim unit manager- just pretend that Claire's transfer back to EmCity happens earlier in the season.

There’s a mark on Claire’s wrist that’s exposed when she picks up the coffee pot. Tim’s eyes are transfixed to the spot. “Don’t worry, McManus,” she says. “There’ll be enough for you to have some.”

“Is that from one of the prisoners?” Tim asks, gesturing toward her wrist, dotted by a series of faint bruises caused by bite-marks.

“No.” She pours herself a cup of coffee and then returns the pot to its place. “Have a good day.”

Tim leaves the break room, the pot of coffee forgotten, and heads back to his office. Passing Sean on the stairs, Tim says in a tone that brooks no argument, “My office. Now.”

“What’s up?” Sean asks as he walks into the office.

“Close the door,” Tim says.

Sean complies.

“I saw Claire.”

“Well, she works here. That’s bound to happen.”

“Don’t play innocent. You marked her.”

“I like her. We went out, had a good time.”

“Were you trying to make me jealous?”

“It’s not always about you. Wait… are you?”

“I’m surprised more than anything. I didn’t expect you to…”

“Didn’t expect me to what? Move on? I’m not going to wait forever, Tim.”

“Just… I don’t know… be careful.”

“It’ll be fine. We’ll be fine. You’ll be fine too. This is what you wanted, right?”

Tim shrugs. “I don’t know.”

“Hey.” Sean takes Tim’s hand and unclasps the wristwatch that Tim wears. He rubs his thumb over the faint scars on Tim’s wrist that mark the spot where Sean’s teeth broke through the skin. “As long as you have this, there’s a part of you that’ll always belong to me.”

Great big thank you to Trillingstar for both running the fest and for writing a sensational Murphy-is-a-dom fic called "Countdown" just for me. It's Murphy/McManus (of course) and it's just a fun look backwards at their D/s relationship. You can read it here.

I wrote 2 fics. The one for the main fest was for ozsaur called Recovery about a post-series developing relationship between Alvarez, Beecher & O'Reily. I also wrote a fic called The Spirit of Christmas for the Party in the Dress Factory as a response to lisacali's request which featured McManus getting stuck in an elevator with Vern Schillinger.

I love the oz_magi fest as it is what originally got me into fandom and will continue to participate as long as the little fandom that could will have it.
