I've been playing a lot in the femslash communities recently so that's one reason that I haven't seemed to be around often. I've written 2 drabbles for femslash100 - Rain in the Desert which is based on a scene in the movie "Desert Hearts" and Risks which is Sophie/Parker from "Leverage". I also have written a little BtVS Dawn/Tara ficlet for femslash_minis called Game Night.

In addition to all that, I've still got my two Oz Free For All fics to complete and I've signed up for both the LGBT fest and ScriptFrenzy, so I'll be pretty busy over the next month or so. I'd like to sign up for spring_with_xan but I am a little worried about over-committing myself at this point.

Still listening to the Blackhawks when I can. I hope the goaltending gets better come the playoffs.

I spent last weekend squaredancing. It was an incredible amount of fun and I'm going to sign up for convention soon, so 4th of July weekend will be spent in Chicago. Yippee! And a bonus for not having to work - that's something to definitely look forward to.

That's it for the moment. Gotta go do some laundry.

I was wondering how you were doing! I'm glad to hear that you've been writing so much. I read your Desert Hearts and Leverage drabbles and I loved them. You do a wonderful job of describing emotions and situations using very few words.

It's good to hear you've been doing squaredancing. I know you enjoy that,and the convention sounds like it'll be fun. I didn't know your job had ended. I'm sorry to hear that and hope you get something else soon.

You certainly are doing a lot of writing challenges! I kind of did the same thing in doing two movies for this round of reel_torchwood,and there are still a couple of things I want to finish up. What is script frenzy?

I hope the Blackhawks improve for you.

It's good to hear from you! I'm glad you liked the drabbles - I had so much fun writing them and I thought of you when I was writing the Sophie/Parker one.

My job hasn't ended. It has just become... a job - you know, one of those things that you wish you didn't have to go to most of the time.

Script frenzy is like NaNo in that it takes place over the course of a month, but you have to write a 100 page screenplay instead of a 50000 word novel. In a way, this will be a lot easier for me than NaNo was (except that I don't have a second act).

I get to see my beloved Blackhawks live and in person tomorrow night (8 rows from the ice!WOO!)

I'm looking forward to baseball season too. I bought a 10-game package for me, my dad and my aunt so we'll be able to catch a few of the games.
