Apologies, my sweets. I feel as if I have done nothing but whine, whine, whine in these pages and that's not right. I actually find whiny people annoying. So - good things about today - I got up earlier than usual and beat the heat on my walk this morning. I had a yummy Tangerine Juice Blend Frappucino at Starbucks - the barista said it was the most perfect one he ever made and I actually believe him - note to self - next time try it with added vanilla to get sort of a Tangerine Julius thing going. My boss's wife was not in the office which automatically raises the day a notch. I got a lot of work done today - more productive than usual - I'd say I'm nearly caught up, but every time I say that, I get behind. The air conditioner at work was running all day long. Still didn't get below 80 despite being set at 76. It would have been a lot warmer in the apartment though. I didn't mess up too bad at dancing tonight although I feel I was out of practice. He had us in some weird set-ups though. I can't believe we blew the Linear Cycle though. That's plus. We should know better. I wrote a little this morning (did my MP's then launched right into the script). I've decided to continue working on the absurd one. It's been a long time since I actually finished anything and I want to see this through to completion. In a weird way, it's about my work situation. Or it least it started out that way. I write like that quite a bit. Take a situation, blow it out of proportion to the nth degree and then gradually rein it in towards reality, or its own reality. It took a turn though that I didn't expect which really delighted me. Once the characters start dialoging during odd moments of the day, I know I'll be home free. I'm just in Act 2 though so there's still much ground to be covered. All in all it's been a pretty good day.

I normally touch on Oz and today will be no different. Netflix still has not put up the Season Six DVD. I've requested the title twice. I don't know why they won't let people at least save it to their queue - I've had Fantasia 2000 on my save list for almost a year now, I think six weeks is more than sufficient to at least let people know it's out there. This particular Oz-addicted freakazoid will be pre-ordering the set from Amazon but still I wouldn't want to deprive anyone else from getting the jump on the rental.

Also, I did a silly thing. I recommended Oz to one of my gay friends who is a little bit squeamish. That's not the silly thing. My fault was having him start from the beginning. He's on Netflix - the one at a time program - (and for all of you out there, I'm not pimping Netflix, just explaining) so why, given my great and intense lust for Ryan O'Reily and one scene in particular? Why didn't I recommend that he get the disk containing Season 4 - Episodes 4-6? That scene at the end of 4.6, those 9 glorious seconds would cure everything but lesbianism, and even this queer chick appreciated the view. If I had told him to rent and watch that disk in reverse, the violence would have been all a wash and he would have been addicted. Less squeamish people I would start out on Season 3 from the beginning. Those three episodes are the greatest grouping of 3 eps in the series and watching Beecher in those scenes is quite wonderful. The scene with Metzger and with Chris in the pod at the end of "Legs" are two of the greatest scenes in the show. Actually "Legs" is one of my favorite episodes.

More on that later. Enjoy the view.
