So I finally caved in
Sep. 17th, 2006 04:49 pmAfter 6 months of absolutely no television reception, I bought a cheap antenna today at Target. It might be that it's football season, actually that's probably it, and the baseball playoffs are coming up, so I want to be able to watch. And catch the occasional episode of SVU. But it's time. OMG, still 20 minutes before kickoff. This game may never start.
Some observations from today -
Could the Philadelphia Eagles have bungled the end of the game worse than they did? They were being handed it and still managed to piss it away. And to a team with a Manning. Yuck.
Has FOX canceled "Justice" yet, and why the utter lack of commercials during the game? There seemed to be maybe 3 commercial breaks from 7:34 left in the 4th until the end of the OT?
Is there any segment of Sunday Night Football on NBC that isn't sponsored by a corporation? Maybe Tampax should sponsor one of the segments.
What kind of name is Sterling? He picked Eli Manning for player of the day so he's on the hot seat.
On names, Barbie has a new guy pal. His name is Blaine. And Ken seemed too gay? BTW the groom doll is just called "Groom". Nothing else. I really think she should have got his name before marrying him.
I'm going to have to find a couple of wedding dresses for my niece's Barbies - groom doll be damned.
Why isn't there a cute Barbie or friend of Barbie (not one of those special collection dolls- like Irish Barbie or something) with red hair?
Can I say I hate that NBC puts some of the technical credits - directing, producing, up front in the opening moments of Sunday Night Football? It just sounds staged.
Had a bit of a laugh this morning. With all of my insecurities over singing this past week, whose face comes up in the Oz Character Generator for the day but Omar White. Hysterical.
Finally figured out a streamline tactic for the mythical Keller script. The thing is that I've been circling the point, just hadn't been able to get there until today, so it's jump in and swim time.
