You know those e-mails that get sent around with the similarities between prison & work. Is a lack of air conditioning one of them? It's 83 flipping degrees in this place (making me one unhappy camper). 25 minutes to go.

I'm so glad this is a short work week. Wifey's been in two days already this week & I'm sick of her. She's not coming in tomorrow which is a good thing. It's a much nicer (and cooler) environment without her there. The boss was starting up again when I left for a few minutes this afternoon - he was napping in the breakroom when I got back - must be nice to be able to do that (not that I'm bitter).

Choir tonight was actually good. We were all fairly giddy for some reason. And there were 5 women there this evening - a new high. It's a bizarre aftereffect of choir that I usually have some song that we've worked on ad nauseum running through my head for hours afterward. I really need to be thinking about something else.

The O'Reily fic is progressing. I'm having way too much fun with this latest one. Wickedly evil delicious fun. It'll be up soon. And I think I've figured out how to handle the one segment that will make me crazier than all the others.

I haven't mentioned Oz Magi, but I'm so glad it's back. My request will probably be obvious. I've only had it in mind since June though I don't think I've mentioned it explicitly on this page. This will be the first one I'm participating in and I'm really looking forward to writing for it.

For those wondering why I haven't talked about hockey lately, my beloved Blackhawks have had the week off. I think they're back at it tomorrow night. I hope the time off does them some good because it was pretty bleak the last time they played. And it's only November.

And yes, I'm delighted that Rumsfeld is out. And that the Dems control the Senate & the House. I only wish we'd elected a different Governor, but honestly, Angelides was not doing it for me as a candidate - sadly, Larry Flynt was not running. I would have so voted for him (just like I did in the recall). Maybe Larry should consider running for president. That would be an administration worth seeing in action.
