One game. One little game is all that separates the Cardinals, the Cubs, and the Brewers. Milwaukee needs to get out of there and let the other two make it interesting for me. I honestly don't know who to root for at this point. I'm really glad the Dodgers did the Cards a favor today though.

Saw the fourth quarter of the Indy-New Orleans game tonight. I was lucky and managed to have the rabbit ears in a spot where I got very good reception. Indy was dominant, but the sportscasters were talking like they'd won the Super Bowl again this year (guys, it's just one game). And I won't get into Peyton Manning, although I have to say that having him mic'd at one point was pretty neat. I just hope someone else steps up this weekend (and that his name isn't Eli). NBC seems to be alternating between Indy & the New York Giants & (thank goodness) the Bears.

Hockey training camp starts in seven days. I'm still waiting for my Kings tickets to come. I'm going to have to order some suitable apparel for the season especially since my favorite Blackhawks tee shirt can now only be worn at night (I have literally worn it out).

Been working according to plan with the script. I took quite a veer though, but now I actually think I know what/who I want to write about. I'll still keep the inciting situation as a backdrop, but the story is falling more into my favorite theme about the impossibility of romantic relationships.

The job has been a pain in the butt lately. There's no let-up. We had one of the best billing periods on record last month and this month looks to be just as good, but... all those increases also mean an increase in the workload - I've been typing 40-50 docs in the morning then using the afternoon for all the clerical stuff that I need to get done. Despite the fact that everyone's workload (not just mine) is up, we're still not planning on hiring anybody in the near future. And my boss has been behaving very badly lately, it's starting to border on one of those times I need to pull him aside for a "Stop being an asshole!" chat.

And I don't know what's been going on in my brain since the birthday, but I have this obsessive desire to have everything around me very tidy. It's starting to freak me out a little, but the order is a nice thing.

Off to write, despite the fact that I'm about to do a faceplant on the keyboard.
