I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my day. It's nice having no plans. I should spend a little time on-line looking for a hotel for my Vegas weekend (I have a feeling I'm going to spend it in Excalibur again, which is fine). I decided I needed some time away with no obligations or whatnot, so I am vacationing from November 10-12. It'll be nice to get away, even if I do nothing but lay on the bed in the hotel room and order room service and watch pay-per-view all weekend (Yes, I will get out, don't worry)
Part of me wants to see a movie - either "Michael Clayton" or "We Own the Night" or "Gone, Baby, Gone" or "Lars and the Real Girl" - I can't decide just yet, and that may mean I'll be staying in my apartment watching videos from Netflix.
The Hawks are playing well and Havlat is not going to need surgery, which means he should be back in about four-to-six weeks. And the Kings have started to win, so that makes me happy.
I've committed to
oz_magi for another year and hope that my fellow Ozzites will at least make requests (because I know some of you will put up some fun secondary pairings that will be fun and challenging to write). Check out the site for more info.
The work situation has gotten sillier. Clients want us to have better control of what we have no control of - the time and pace of the California legal system. What I would like to tell my boss is that it's time to cut ties with this particular client - who happens to be our biggest client (but also the client responsible for some big expenses - postage, outside contractors, labor) - because if we're not going to hire another person just to deal with their silliness, we're not going to be able to meet their needs. But my boss is going to go into the meeting with them next week and nod his head and promise them all but the moon. It's insane.
