Hawks - Blue Jackets Recap

The Hawks announcers are great and I love 'em, but the Columbus guys are pretty fun to listen to. They actually let you know when the other team scores (and they do so with a bit of excitement - unlike the guys in LA where if Chicago scored 3 goals in a row, I'd be lucky to catch one with their mumbling.)
I couldn't really pick up any patterns with regards to the play. Other than Corey Crawford (future goaltender!) was most excellent, and the penalty killing at one point had me nearly screaming (hence the Corey Crawford love). The power play was solid, going 2 for 5 and the guys exceeded the 30-shot requirement, which was nice. Kontiola didn't have as good a game as I would have liked, and Campbell seemed to be pretty quiet. I think Keith had the best game of the defensemen.
There were a lot of fights and Columbus seemed to dominate action in a few more instances than I would have liked, but on the whole, it was fine.
And hey, we got a victory in the deal. Doesn't count for anything, but I sleep better at night knowing they won.
BTW, the longest best case scenario (full playoff series, winning game 7) has me sweating through 117 more of these. The shortest, most optimistic case would be 105 (winning sweeps through all playoff rounds). But we'll cross those other bridges when we get to them. I will probably not do big long analysis on most of them, but expect to hear more on this topic.
