A good night for hockey

I just have to start by mentioning that Pittsburgh is officially out.

And then there's this. (First time I arranged something like this in MSPaint, be proud of me)
I didn't see the goal because I was reliving the end of the Blues-Sharks game (more on that in a second), but it means my boys will get to play tomorrow. If they pull of a miracle, they will either play Nashville or Vancouver, so any meeting up between the homeboys and the road warriors will have to wait until the third round (if I'm lucky).
I went to the Blues-Sharks game last night. Quite a bit of a disappointing beginning - by the end of the second I'd pretty well resigned that we were going back to NoCal - (San Jose is lower than the Canucks and the not-quite-as-hated-as-they-used-to-be Red Wings.) And then this happened -
My reaction was pretty much the same as Langenbrunner's. And then boom, another goal less than a minute later by David Perron (so fitting as he was concussed and out for over a season by Joe Thorton of the Sharks). I was on pins and needles for the next six minutes until Andy McDonald scored in the empty net. At which, my reaction could be summed up by this -

So yeah, all in all, it's been a pretty good time.
