I think of "L.A. Confidential" as one of the gayest straight films ever made (Point Break is another one). It's amazing how much physical contact that Bud and Ed have with each other (even though it borders on violence), Vincennes has a line to Ed about "Bud White's going to fuck you for this if it takes him the rest of his life" and Lynn's "fucking me and fucking Bud aren't the same thing" (or something to that effect) all seem to emphasize the slash potential between the two of them. And that ending where Ed is able to fill in the blanks on the conversation that he and Bud can't have. *sigh*
I'm glad you liked this and liked what I did with the POV.
The soundtrack is wonderful. I'll have to break it out for the Academy Awards this Sunday.
