cmk418I decided to overcompensate for my 11th-hour tree-trimming last year by putting my Christmas tree up this weekend. (It was also pre-planned a couple of weeks ago to help fight against my glum feelings with the situation in the office (most of which has abated slightly & the promise of Vegas next weekend should get me through the week). All in all, it's looking rather festive in here. Apparently I threw out my multi-colored lights last year because they weren't packed where they usually are stored, but I found a box of red ones, so my tree is all lit up with tiny red lights. There is still a strand of multi-colored ones around my vanity mirror, but those are up year-round and are very rarely turned on.
I also bought Hershey kisses and a peanut butter cookie mix, but after looking at the scale, the cookie-making project will have to wait another couple of weeks (unless I cave early).

hardtime100, one for Firefly at firefly100 which was actually a triple drabble, and two for Blades of Glory at bog100. Those were the first two Blades fics I've done, so I'm pretty pleased with myself. I think there might be one more for the current HT100 prompt, but I'll have to see how that works out. I also did a dialogue-only piece for "The Departed" which is a prequel to something I've written before. I'm also trying to be a good little bunny and give feedback to every fic that I've read. I've lapsed on that recently.
Note to my beloved Blackhawks - just because Patrick Sharp scored two shorthanded goals on Saturday night does not mean you should try to help him increase his tally by taking stupid penalties on Sunday. (I hate it when they lose)
I was going to watch "Falling in Love" tonight. Don't know if I'll get a chance. I love that movie - one of the more romantic movies about infidelity ever made. I'm feeling fairly tired right now and have a few things that need to get done before I can actually go to sleep, so I might as well get started on those.
Additional note - you'd think someone at LJ would add words like fic and drabble to their spell check - it'd make sense.
