cmk418So tomorrow it's officially one month til lift-off. I keep asking myself "Are you nuts?"
Probably.
I have an interview Wednesday with a temp place. I picked up a couple of dresses, but I don't know if they're necessarily appropriate. They do look good on me though, so that's a blessing - better than anything else I have currently in the wardrobe. I just don't know. Maybe I'll feel more dressed for the part if I do the whole pantyhose and uncomfortable dress shoes thing along with it. It's quite difficult to transition from 6 years of t-shirts and jeans to professional wear.
And I had a mini-freak-out when I couldn't find my social security card right away. Luckily, I have that where it's accessible now.
I think I might redo my resume before the interview.
Yes, I've bookended the pleasure on Wednesday. I'll start my day with the job interview and end it with a two & a half hour cleaning at my dentist. At least I'll have 4 hours to decompress in between the two.
How come the Blues have their pre-season schedule announced and not the Hawks? I may have to check NHL.com and see if there's anything on it.
Had an amazingly productive day at the office. Typed up over 100 docs. It was quite nice.

Date: 2008-07-09 01:52 am (UTC)I'm sorry that things couldn't be worked out for you at the job,I know it's a hassle looking for a new place to work. But it sounded like they were really taking advantage of you there,and that the stress level in general was getting worse.
I hope you find something you really like and that you have plenty of time to pursue writing or anything else you might want to try.

Date: 2008-07-09 02:28 am (UTC)I'm actually seriously thinking about forensic accounting. It sounds like the sexiest accounting job ever - figuring out where people hide the money. I'd get to play with numbers all day long and not too much outside interaction, which is nice. The only drawback is that I'm not sure if they want CPAs for that sort of thing or not.
