Ours came through after it had stopped, but it piled quite a bit outside our garage door at the apartment complex so I may need to spend some time tomorrow digging out.
Or I may elect not to go back to the office until Wednesday.
Yuck. With all the cold we had here, I'll be surprised if there isn't. I haven't officially stepped out in it yet- not looking forward to that, but I'll have to shovel out sooner or later.
But since I got off lightly and kept power so far, I'm not complaining. I'll save that for when I fall to my death trying to get to the car to clean it off
I love seeing the pics even if I feel awful for you guys. Grateful that your company gives you that option.
It's 56º and sunny right now at 1:30 PM, which is chilly for me, but it's going to be really nice by the end of the week. Which I have mixed feelings about. 70º in January means it'll be 450º by July. 🤣
Yeah, it can be brutal here if you aren't used to the dry heat. And June isn't even truly *hot* yet.
Kaige and I went to the Grand Canyon last June and the tour guide said, "It's going to be a hot one today, a high of 85!" I laughed and everyone on the bus looked at me. 😂
I might have told you this before but when I was in LA, at one point, I was having a shifty Friday and decided to make a weekend of it in Vegas. I arrived at my hotel after midnight and it was still over 100 outside (and the room ac hadn't been turned on so I had too run around the Strip for a couple hours before it got bearable). I'm not sure menopausal me would be as willing.
I believe it. Summers here are crazy. A year or so ago, I thought my AC had gone south and had to call someone to look at it. It was something like 90 inside and I was chasing the cats down with a wet washcloth so they didn't overheat. Thankfully the AC was okay, but my newly replaced filters were clogged (I swear, I change them regularly, but my humidifier fouled things up).
Being perimenopausal in the desert in the summer is not fun.
Yes ...
Date: 2026-01-26 01:45 am (UTC)It snowed here too. The snowplow has already been by though -- usually it doesn't come until the day after the snow stops.
