Another year, another trivia night in the books

We had a nice evening at trivia. We didn't come close to winning but it was still fun and there was a lot of food. The theme was March Madness. One of the categories was "Concessions" and we were given bags of popcorn to eat and guess the flavor. It was pretty vile stuff. We led off with sour apple flavor which if you ever get the opportunity, just say no. There was a dill pickle flavor in there too, and I don't eat them at all, so I don't know if I liked that one or not. Banana was a mystery tropical flavor that made me worry that I ate something mango (which would have resulted in a need for Benadryl pretty quickly.) There was a very hard song category and a very easy movie category.

What I was most pleased about though was that the item I had donated to the silent auction- Rachel Reid's complete GameChangers collection- fetched more than I paid for it. There was a bidding war. It was nice to see.

I love trivia night but I'm pretty surprised they did something you had to eat with food allergies being what they were (that said I like sour apple and dill popcorn but I am known to eat questionable crap)

They noted which bags contained things with allergens- like nut and milk products- so everyone was safe.

I don't think they'd have noted mango since it's not common.
