I should be asleep by now

Yeah, I know it's early, but I stayed up past 3 last night/this morning and then got up around 7:30 so I think a wee bit of sleep should do the body good. I managed to pick up everything I needed from the mall, finished up S2 of "Angel" and watched another epi of "OZ".

Pet peeve of the moment - ficathon lists that are f-locked or under otherwise broken links. This makes no sense, but I've run across a few and it's pretty frustrating because it means there's fic somewhere to read, and I CAN'T GET TO IT!!

Second pet peeve of the moment - something's wrong with my mouth. It didn't bug me before, but after my visit to the dentist on Wednesday, it's making me crazy - it feels like a canker sore, but it isn't. I'll take some more ibuprofen and see if that helps in any way.

Did a little bit of drabbling last night - three for hardtime100 and one for open_on_sunday.

Starting my last week in the office. It makes me happy in some ways, sad in others, and there are some parts of the brain where I don't think it's totally sunk in yet.

Try gargling saltwater. I have a rotten tooth and no patience for dentists, and that keeps stopping the infection right there and any other mouth sores.

Saltwater. Yuck. Yeah, I know it works, but yuck. I'm going to stick with the anti-inflammatories for a day or two and then go the saltwater route if it doesn't get better.

Okay, but if you DO go the saltwater route, DON'T immediately brush your teeth, okay? It's just not a good idea. Eat a piece of fruit, like an apple or a pear, THEN clean your mouth. Trust me.

Meanwhile, should Billy suffer a stroke at work, or Sophie's school?

Okay then. I vote for work. Basically because I don't want Sophie to be traumatized and I think it would be more interesting for Sean to have to explain it to her.

I'd worry more about redundancy. Will stroke!Billy be very similar to coma!Billy? Because you know I'll beg you to make him better from the moment it happens.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but what if Sean gets shot and Billy has to take care of him?

Is being evil for purposes of plot really being evil?

Oh, I guess you're right, it is redundant. I just keep wanting to drive home the permanence of Billy's disabilities and stuff. I guess I'll just have to figure out how to be more subtle.

Ooooh, that's much better. Getting Sean to acknowledge that he can occasionally be a patronizing shit about Billy's issues and also the cuteness of Billy being all "caretaker-y".

It can be. Depending on the plot.

HAHAHA! That would be freaking hilarious. Sophie would start researching bullet wounds on the net and somehow wind up in a civil war website and start talking about things like "gangrene" and amputation and it would take Billy hours to a. figure out what was wrong and b. straighten her out.
