here we go...

So it started off with such promise, Savard decided to start Khabibulin in net, Dunc and Seabs back playing together, Versteeg scored in the first minute. Good stuff. Then Jack Skille scored. More good stuff. So we were up 2-1 when I left at the end of 1.
I get home and see Blackhawks 2 and Capitals (scroll, scroll, scroll) 4. I expressed an opinion that probably would have made someone disbelieve that I'd spent the last hour at church. I'd like to be able to listen to a play-by-play and see where it went to hell in a handbasket, but there is no archived radio access (like they used to have) on either the team or league site.
Two things I know -
2 goals will rarely win you a game. (Even with Nik in goal)
21 shots will rarely win you a game.
One thing I suspect -
We paid too much for Brian Campbell. He, like Huet, gets 3 more games to try to impress me. (Did I mention no shots for him tonight?)
One thing that added more pain to the loss -
The hated Wings won. So it's gonna be Columbus, Detroit, Nashville, St. Louis, Chicago. I really liked Friday's standings much better. 80 games left, thank the gods.
So the "No Radio" thing on NHL.com really annoys me. Because when I go back to work, I'll miss over half of most of the games if I only can hear them live. I sent them a comment to that effect and actually, a bunch of folks seemed to have mentioned it, so I'm not the only one. Also, the "free preview" video coverage has a lockout feature, so I wasn't able to see the Kings game tonight. Don't know if it'll lock me out with Anaheim as well.
Oh yeah, the Kings signed Anze Kopitar for 7 years. That's pretty awesome. I really like him.
