cmk418So I'm kicking myself because I heard from my temp place about a possible assignment and I said... meh. I did call them back about half an hour later to see if it was still available, it was, my rep was going to send out my resume, but I guess it wasn't a perfect fit. It was in Santa Monica which would be quite a daily haul on the bus. I really want something closer to home or downtown. Still, first prospect in two months and I treat it like that. *sigh*
My niece sent me a note in the mail. It folds out like one of those construction paper snowflakes, although it's shaped more like a butterfly. It's on blue construction paper and she's got 4 little round stickers decorating each side. Here's what she wrote: Dear Aunt Catherine This snow flake will remind you when we made snow flakes Love Maya (and on the other side) Each of these stickers means something Dora - play nise - butterflises - joy - sandcasint (that's what it looks like, it's a sandcastle) - funny She's a great kid.
Had a dental appointment this afternoon. I'm still feeling it. I don't know if the temp crown is bugging me or if it's just a reaction to the injection.
Blackhawks play tomorrow. First game with Quenneville as coach. I hope St. Louis doesn't beat up on us too bad. They might get rid of Coach Q a week from now and bring Scott Bowman in. Seriously, if you're going to move up a coach from within the organization, why aren't you taking the guy that's actually won a Stanley Cup as head coach? Makes no sense.
Twenty minutes to "Life" on NBC. If you're on the West Coast, watch it. And if you're somewhere else, there's always hulu.com or NBC.com.
