Almost there...

The apartment is starting to look very empty. It's a good feeling, starting again. So many things still to do, mostly of the cleaning variety. I'm currently coloring my hair - figure that it will be more polite to do it now than dripping hair dye all over my parents place. Besides, I'm due.

I apologize for not being able to read and or comment on everything that's being written right now, and I'm afraid I'm going to be a couple weeks behind on my flist soon.

I have a trip to the dentist scheduled for 8AM tomorrow. Big fun. I was not amused when I woke up at 7 this morning with the alarm (first time in ages that I've actually used it) and tomorrow is going to be 6AM (yuk!)

It did enable me to get my four trips to the post office in. When I called my parents today they let me know that they got some of my boxes and then asked "will there be more?" I think the postman is going to hate me in advance.

Speaking of, weird thing happened today. I ran into my postman way down the block from my apartment and he says "you're moving Wednesday, right?" Color me surprised - there are over 80 units in my complex and he remembers me? Weird.

You'd be surprised. The people at my local corner store recognize me out of an entire neighbourhood, even though I've tried to cut down on my spending there.

The last time I lived in St. Louis, the guys at the pizza place knew me. They recognized the number and knew what I'd order before I'd say anything. (Not looking to repeat that this time around.

UGH, moving sucks. The most understated understatement of ALL OF TIME, I know. It bears repeating though, because I GET IT. Extra ughs for the dentist and having to get up before the sun rises, though. But I'm glad that it's a good feeling, getting things packed up and out & starting fresh. We'll all still be here while you get settled. ::hugs::

I think it's more of a worry because I keep thinking that I'm forgetting something and there probably will be much running around like a crazy person these last few days.

Thanks, darlin'. I'm down to a few (I started to count, but just kept thinking of stuff that needed to go - maybe eight?) post office bound packages and my computer stuff that'll go FedEx. And there's still cleaning and painting that needs to be done. And dismanteling of furniture.
