Two Weeks Til Christmas

And I'm still not ready for it. I'm going to try to get out of the house today for a bit. Maybe go somewhere where there's shopping.

No luck with the job search as of yet. I'm looking, but there's nothing that I like out there.

I've been reconnecting with friends. That's kind of nice. I'm going to babysit next week for my best friend's three-month-old daughter, should be fun although I'm a bit paranoid because I haven't really done anything like this since the two of us were in high school together.

I can't believe behavior of the governor of Illinois (of course, by now, he's following a long line of scandal-ridden governors). That's just sheer stupidity. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key. Absolutely ridiculous. He might as well have put the Senate seat up on E-Bay, or better yet, give it to his wife since she, apparently, needs a better job.

Have you seen 3:10 to Yuma yet? If you haven't, you should - lots of yummy men and slash potential all over the place (particularly between Charlie Prince & Ben Wade).

I am neither in CA or in Chicago. I'm in St. Louis. I need to find a job I like soon to give me something interesting to do.

Normally I can put a positive spin on any year, but for the most part, 2008 has sucked big time. It'll be nice having a new year and a fresh start.

I'm physically feeling better, which is a good thing. Do you think moving to St. Louis and being hit by a cold for the first time in seven years is the universe's way of trying to tell me something?

I've managed to unpack everything and get my room set up the way I like it, so that's a plus. I don't spend a lot of time in there though because it gets incredibly cold.

How's settling in going for you? Did TN get hit with that freak snowstorm that hit yesterday?

No, we were spared the freaky weather, thank goodness.

I'm slowly getting the house into our home, you know? It's taking longer than my OCD is comfortable with, but I'm dealing.

lol. I'm sorry about your cold. Maybe it's the universe's way of telling you that you need a flu shot.

I'm glad that you didn't catch any snow. That might have been shocking, going from sunny Florida to winter conditions.

The cold is almost over, with the exception of some rare coughing fits that come on at the strangest of times. There'd be no way on earth that I'd get a flu shot - I'd be one of those people who'd wind up catching the flu from it, no thank you.

Enjoy fixing up the house and making it yours (both of yours, really, but you know what I mean).
