Heh. Years ago, when I first saw the movie, I always found them immensely slashy, myself. There's almost no fic out there, though. Shame. :(

And obiously, I agree with most of the OZ wishlist!

I've seen "Raiders" quite a number of times. Drop me in a scene and I'll quote the next line, but I've never thought of slashing Indy/Belloq until very recently. I've done a search for it and the only thing out there seems to be a bit of non-con, so I'm not even going to take a peek at it. I just visualize it as either a one-time encounter or a series of encounters which ultimately culminates with Belloq swiping something of Indy's (or vice versa, but that would be very against canon) and thus establishes the relationship that starts the film. (I should just write the thing myself.)

Exley-lovelovelove Guy Pearce. And yes, I got the same vibes too. I'm almost positive that's how Pearce means to play the character, it's so obvious, all you had to do was watch the scene where Basinger seduces him, you know who he was thinking about while he was fucking her.

Absolutely. I love all the subtext in that film - how they manage to use violence as the only way they can get their hands on each other, Ed's voyeurism of Bud & Lynn, and everything that's left unsaid but goes between them at the ending.

And then, of course, there's Vicennes classic line to Exley - "Bud White'll fuck you for this if it takes him the rest of his life." Sigh.
