A happy post!
Oct. 1st, 2009 04:49 pmI'm in a good mood right now. So good that even the half-dread that the other shoe is going to drop soon isn't dampening it. I think it's partly because I got a halfway decent night's sleep last night - I've been up late and waking up early lately, so sleep is good. I have another interview with a temp place on Monday. The writing is going well.
That's probably it. The writing is going well. I've been working on things for the Giles/Xander Fabulous Fall Fest (which I'm also running) and the muse is chugging along there. I found a big huge logic jump in what I've written so far in Great Risks, but I managed to eradicate it with one scene that was just a helluva lot of fun to write (and it will make it into the final draft, so I'm not spilling the beans on it now) and I started on a scene that I've had in mind for a while and it's turning out quite nicely.
It's very cool out right now. I took a walk earlier which was nice. Between the walking and the watching what I eat I've managed to lose about eight pounds in the past month, which, in the land of perpetual ice cream, is not easy.
Oh, and hockey season starts today. Despite what the press seems to think, I don't have as high hopes for my beloved Blackhawks this year as last year. I think the Blues will do better though, which will be nice.
I've got square dancing tonight and then I'm coming home to watch San Jose v. Colorado. Life is good.

Date: 2009-10-07 09:15 am (UTC)Congratulations on the weight loss! I wish I could do that-I keep saying that I'm going to work on it,but it just hasn't happened yet(lol about the land of perpetual ice cream).
I'm also happy to hear about the writing going well. That always makes me feel better, too. I'm looking forward to reading the next part of Great Risks, and now I'm anxious to read the scene that you wrote!
I hope the Blackhawks do well this year. I know it always makes me feel better when the Yankees do well!

Date: 2009-10-09 12:35 am (UTC)I'm not too worried about my Hawks right now, they're averaging 44 shots a game, which is wonderful, so if they can keep that up, they shouldn't have too many problems.
Maybe your Yankees will meet my Cardinals in the Series. That'd be cool!
Hope you are doing well and real life isn't getting you down.
