The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Feb. 2nd, 2010 08:08 pmThe Good -
Still have my job. May actually get some work one of these days too.
Oscar nominations came out today. I was glad that Colin Firth got nominated.
Had a really weird Oz-ish dream last night. There was a DVD of some short vids made from some of our fanfics (as well as a companion book & CD compilation) and mine was an O'Reily/Alvarez story which had a really long introduction at the front of the vid done by Dean Winters, who also directed and gave his reasons why he chose the story that he chose. It was set in a house though and not in Oz, so it wasn't anything I've actually written, just that I knew I had written it in the dream. And it was credited with my LJ name, which I was a little upset about, but it makes sense. It was all very strange and I woke up before it got too far.
The Bad -
Got word yesterday that Mo, the work kitty at my former job, was hit by a car and died. I've been pretty sad about it, I can only imagine how my former co-workers are coping right now.
Some of those Oscar nominations were just weird. And I may be the only person in the world who is not warm and fuzzy over "Up in the Air" - I despise that film - so I'm not really thrilled about that one being included.
The Ugly -
The more things change... today at work, there was much yelling and very unprofessional behavior from our top guy. Not at me, but I hope this isn't a signal for things to come. I need this job, but I have a very low threshhold for that type of nonsense.

I think there's something in the air making bosses pissy bitches these days. Mine were jackASSES.

Things have settled down a bit on the work front although everybody was a bit edgy today. It's snowing now, so I'm hoping we get the day off tomorrow - they've been known to do that. I hope yours has gotten better.
