I haz a laptop

So, I've officially entered the 21st Century. This past weekend, I finally broke down and purchased a laptop. (And the fact that Missouri was having a sales tax free weekend helped a great deal). I am really loving the freedom that it brings - not having to go into my parents' room to use the internet is a definite plus, not to mention the fact that when it gets frosty outside, I can move it to one of the warmer areas of the house, instead of having to wear gloves on my fingers when I type.
So, that means that I'll be on here a bit more often.
The birthday was good. My dad and I went to see "The Other Guys". It's not bad. And I really like Mark Wahlberg and he was enjoyable in it.
Off to work...

Date: 2010-08-13 08:20 am (UTC)LOL about you moving into the 21st century by getting a laptop. I thought that about myself when I got a computer! (It was a laptop, but it was also my first computer. I was a bit behind the times. In fact my friend's brother asked me what I used to write with since I didn't have a computer? He forgot about pens and paper I guess,so I told him I used a stone and chisel. He accepted that :) )
I'm glad you'll be on more often. Hopefully I will be on more as well. Things have been hectic.
Sending birthday hugs,
Michele

Date: 2010-08-13 12:23 pm (UTC)It's good to hear from you. I was about to send you a quick note to see how you're doing. I hope things slow down a bit for you (in a good and not-at-all "I am so bored" kind of way).
Laughed about the stone and chisel comment. I was explaining rotary phones to my niece last week - it's amazing how much technology is changed and how it's taken for granted.
Interesting baseball week in St. Lou. How are things going with your Yanks?
