Strange...

So this is my first Friday night at home in months and I'm bored out of my frigging mind. Doesn't seem right. Aha baseball on the radio. Instant entertainment. I really hope the Dodgers can pull it out, but I'm not sure. My Cards are behaving badly in the Central - so terribly that they're writing articles on ESPN.com about why they should lose. The Giants are winning. That's not good. I can't stand the Giants.

I got my voting guide today. They do that in California, give out a little guide so they can have informed voters. It's actually not a little guide - there have been smaller phone books - I exaggerate, but not by much. They have a nice little summary of each of the propositions that we're voting for - analysis by some legislative specialist, pro and con arguments and rebuttals, and finally the complete text of the proposition. Glancing at the complete text section, I'm glad they provide a summary. It's a bit insane. Although now I'm a bit disappointed because I am unable to get my voting guide in Russian or German (not that I read either language) but still, it seems discriminatory. Maybe I should sponsor a proposition on the next ballot for that. There are about 150 pages in this guide devoted to propositions alone. Amazing. And we get to vote out Schwarzenegger, I mean vote for a new, I mean vote for Governor. Or just be disgusted and leave that section blank. I do that sometimes, just refuse to vote for a particular office. Wouldn't it make a great statement to the powers that be if every person of voting age would just pick up a ballot and turn it in unmarked. Maybe they'd realize that we were sick of having to choose between two candidates that don't really represent the people. Now I'm thinking of that episode of "South Park" where either Kyle or Stan doesn't want to vote because the candidates are either a Giant Douche or a Turd Sandwich, and the moral is that even though most candidates are one of those two options, but the point is that we have the choice so we should get out there and vote.

I'm not writing tonight. Going to give it a rest, but I have a beginning to something, now I just have to take it a bit further, and actually I know how it's gonna end. No smut yet, just a regular little story.

Down to the 9th in the Dodger game. I hope they can pull it out.
