Face-off violation?

Oh boy, just when I thought the NHL got me with "holding the stick", they throw in "face-off violation". Apparently someone on Columbus did something wrong in the circle. Seriously, that's carrying things too far. Unfortunately, I haven't turned the game on until 5 seconds ago - no link through NHL.com or chicagoblackhawks.com, so I went to find the Columbus station - so I have no idea what's going on with the weird penalty. I could see a "He tried to take his face off"-type thing. And that would be realistic, but if they start calling people for the hockey equivalent of a false start, that's just crazy.

For the record, Columbus' play-by-play feels more like commercial-by-commercial.

I was freed from jury duty today. I was very, very happy about that. Now I only need another 2 1/2 hours of work to make up the time lost - shouldn't be too difficult. I'll opt for starting earlier tomorrow since Wifey is going to be in the office in the afternoon.

For the record, Columbus' play-by-play really does suck. You don't know who scored because your partner was talking. Hello? I could just be in a pissy mood because the Hawks just went down a goal. It's a long season.
