No Place to Go but Up
Jan. 10th, 2008 11:20 pmYeah, my beloved Blackhawks have hit bottom, but they can't get any lower division-wise right now. They are under-500 too and that does rankle a bit.
A little bit of brightness amid the gloom though, the hated Red Wings (yes, that is their polite name) have only lost 8 games so far this year (out of 44). The nice thing is that 3 of those 8 and 1 of the 3 OT losses have been at the hands of the Hawks. Still haven't decided if I'm up for another dose of Detroit in a couple of weeks.
I had a title pop into my head during the Kings game tonight which would combine my love for hockey with my usual script-y themes. It's just a concept now, but there's the teensiest bit of flow starting and that's a good thing.
Oddly enough or maybe after the last game it was natural, but there were several points during tonight's game where I just wanted the Kings to lose in the most heartbreaking way possible. Probably just a little residual bitterness.
I've figured out some of the next part of "Great Risks", just backed it up a couple of lines and the block I was having went away. It is pretty weird though because it's a step away from their usual thing. It has a day or two before it sees daylight because my notebook with all the details is at work.
Not much else. I'm trying out a new cough suppressant. I hope it works. I don't know if I should try to take anything else with it, but I'll leave it on its own for now and see what happens.
