Not a bad day
Jan. 22nd, 2008 10:09 pmToday was pretty decent. I woke up naturally from a very nice dream about someone that I don't get to dream about often (but when I do, I want to stay in the dream world as long as possible). Then I watched the Academy Award nominations with my brother. They were okay. I'm a little disappointed that "Sweeney Todd" didn't get a nomination for Best Picture, but both Viggo Mortensen and Tilda Swinton being nominated made me very happy. On the whole though, there weren't a lot of surprises. It seems like that every year. Went out to breakfast, during which I wrote most of the next part of "Great Risks" (finished it on the train to work). Work wasn't too bad, even without my boss. The workload has gotten awful again. I'm going to have to start spending extra time there soon, I think. When that was done, I came home, watched an hour of "Big Love", did laundry, listened to the Hawks lose (which in the context of the day, I didn't mind for some reason), and posted a response to my prompt for
hardtime100. So it's been a fairly good day. It's a shame it's about over.
