A few things....

It's the Wednesday before Easter - a day that makes me think of my last serious relationship (short as it was). I just realized that we started dating the Wednesday after Christmas and stopped the Wednesday before Easter. I don't think it's necessarily significant, but it's interesting to me at least.

Got a little misty yesterday as I noticed the passing of Anthony Minghella, writer-director. He was only 54, which seems incredibly young to me (although I think 87 is also in the category of "too soon"). I started watching his films with the first Truly, Madly, Deeply and have enjoyed everything of his that I've seen. He was a very gifted storyteller and his presence will be missed.

My beloved Blackhawks are winning tonight. That is a good thing. Welcome back, Nik.

I've been watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" like a madwoman lately. I'm just getting through the third season - catching a lot of episodes that I missed. Expect fic here once I'm done with the season. (I've taken one of the BtVS prompts for lgbtfest

I still haven't gotten any gifts for the upcoming trip home - have to plan for the baby shower, my niece's birthday, and possibly for my mom's birthday as well (her's isn't until the 14th though, but I always think that presents can be nicer than gift cards.) My sister still hasn't said what the baby's name is going to be, only that she's narrowed the choices down to two. (And sadly, Nick isn't one of them).

I really would like to be at the UC right now because it is LOUD. Beautiful.
