This and that

Figured out why the Worlds hockey tournament was so interesting to me - a lot of my guys are playing in it. Things like that happen when you don't make the playoffs. Watched a few seconds of the Pittsburgh game today. Glad they won - it's hard enough with Detroit advancing, I don't think I could have taken the Rangers.

I'm ignoring my Netflix movies in order to try and make some headway on my Oz fic for the Shivs N Shanks ficathon. My heart hasn't really been in it, but I'll see what I can come up with. I have two very different ideas for the same prompt.

I changed my computer - something I've been meaning to do for a few months - I inherited one from work, but all my files needed moving (and my old computer was so antiquated that 3.5 diskettes were the only storage medium that worked) and I had to do some rearranging in order to get the new computer to fit under the desk. It's rather huge and heavy. I needed to get rid of all the work-related stuff off this computer as well. It took me around 4-5 hours last night to do it.

Played with a little BtVS fic today - did one drabble and one fic. One of these days I'll get the hang of it, but I don't think today is that day.

Have to figure out when to go see the fam. I want to go after the new baby is born, but the weekend I've set out is very busy (family reunion on one side, wedding on the other) so I don't know if I'll get out there then or not.

Went into the office yesterday. Got 60+ of the 500+ documents that needed to be typed ready to go out. I need help. But it was nice and necessary to get some things accomplished. I really could do without having to go in tomorrow though. They should let me work weekends and have off during the week. That would solve some of the interpersonal conflicts that come from having one too many women in the office.

Off to do dishes and then back to writing for a bit.
