So the job that was going to March of next year, and then shortened to December of this year, has been shortened once again. To July 1.
As in 2 months from now.
So, I am looking at unemployment sooner than expected. Hope my temp place will be able to get me something fairly quickly.
They only informed us of this yesterday afternoon. The state senate is voting on a bill to send the remainder of the stimulus funds that we received back to the federal government. If it passes, we lose our funding and the chances of the bill failing are pretty slim.
And I also have the delightful job of being the contact person for those clients who are calling to find out their status in the program. I think I'll keep the phone on "Do Not Disturb" for the next two months.
Thank god I'm still staying with the folks. It's one less thing to worry about.
