A/N: I started this back in 2012, after an episode in Season Three when Ava's trying to set him up with Ellen May and he says something about having a thing for blondes, and there's very little subtlety there, so I saw the possibility of something between them. I'm not sure why I didn't finish it at the time, but roughly seven years later, it's as done as it's going to get.
