General Observations
I didn't write as much this year as I have in the past. That was most evident in the number of drabbles (6!) that I wrote for
I did embrace my inner-femslasher and, my-oh-my, was she busy. 19 drabbles and 10 fics, mostly in the Joss-verse (Buffy, Angel, and Firefly).
Pairing-wise, Giles/Xander, from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fell by the wayside, only referenced briefly in one drabble. McManus/Murphy are still going strong (is anyone really surprised by this?), featured in 3 drabbles and 3 fics.
Fandom-wise, Leverage, The Departed, Life, Firefly and Angel have fallen pretty much off the charts for the moment. Oz was the most represented fandom - 25 different pieces (and strangely enough, none of it femslash). Buffy was second with 15.
The fics that I'm proudest of this year:
Observable Incidents - OZ - Beecher-centric fic written for the Oz Kill-a-Thon - I loved tweaking Season 6 canon enough to let Toby get his revenge on everyone that needed it.
Loss - Mad Men - Pete/Don - I wrote this before Anna's death was handled on the show and I actually think I would have liked it better this way.
Dangerous Game - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Buffy/Faith - Since femslash was a big part of the writing this year, I wanted to include an example. I think it's the first time I've gotten to use breathplay in a fic and working both within and outside of the canon was fun.
Observations and Inappropriate Questions - OZ - The required McManus/Murphy on the list. Quite simply, it was the most fun I had writing anything this year.
The fic that still has me baffled:
Our Business - The Godfather - Mama Corleone/Kay Adams Corleone - I really couldn't list this under fics that I'm proudest of because it's just so bizarre, but I did want to include it. Honestly, I still have no idea where this came from.
Fanfic resolutions for 2011 - (and I will try my best to keep them):
Post more than one part of Great Risks and update more frequently than once every 8 months.
Write something for "Justified". I enjoyed the last season and I'm looking forward to the new one. And I think the fandom needs to see Art/Raylan in print just once.
If I request prompts, fulfill them.
Keep writing the characters and pairings that make me happy and, above all, have fun with it.

Date: 2011-01-02 07:25 am (UTC)I'm glad you're planning on continuing it!
I didn't know you wrote a Beechercentric revenge fic! I have to read that. I'm a huge fan of any story that has Beecher getting back at the assholes who hurt him (without feeling guilty about it!).
I wrote more femslash in 2010,too. And if you are going to write more this year, could you please include Gloria and Diane to your list? :) I need more fic of them-since I think at the present time I'm the only one who writes them.
I really liked the Godfather fic. It was very well written!
Oh,your resolution to fulfill prompts means I can remind you about the Sophie/Parker drabble (Sophie's in awe of Parker's flexibility):)

Date: 2011-01-08 12:14 am (UTC)Diane and Gloria delivered as promised over at
Godfather fic - I like it but it's still really disturbing to think that my brain came up with it.
I still have your prompt in my head - you wouldn't believe the image that goes along with it (or maybe you would...)
