First, love, love, love the exchange between Raylan and Art. "Did you roofie me, Raylan?" And the whole "I can only imagine" comment in response to something that Raylan said about Winona sleeping with him. I seriously need to transcribe that as soon as possible.
Second, Dewey Crow. I giggled with glee knowing that he was going to be in this episode. Wonderful on so many labels. And it got me imagining Dewey/Boyd where Dewey goes into his Raylan impersonation. Or Dewey/Boyd/Ava.
Third, not so much with Mags which was fine. There was a mention of her, but she creeps me out a little bit, so it was good just to limit the family involvement to the cop son. Although I will admit to forgetting who he was related to for a good majority of the episode.
Lastly, next week's preview shows an episode featuring Rachel. She is awesome, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Hope the writers will keep those Art/Raylan slash moments coming!

Date: 2011-02-24 05:18 pm (UTC)I didn't see anything slashy in the episode I watched. What's the relationship between the two characters you mentioned, and is it one that has a lot of slashy moments('cause I'd love that)?

Date: 2011-02-25 01:19 am (UTC)Art is Raylan's boss and they have a friendship along with that as well. They are really not slashy in the least (which makes me want to slash them all the more). Basically Art knows Raylan well enough to give the appearance that he's not going to put up with any of Raylan's shit even when he's putting up with Raylan's shit. Art is the Murphy to Raylan's McManus.
Raylan is usually slashed with Boyd and I can see that very well. Boyd was just at the very beginning and the very end of the episode you watched. They have a lot of slashy moments together and are just a lot of fun as a pairing.
In completely unrelated news, Adam Wainwright is out for the season with the Cardinals - they're saying he might need Tommy John surgery. It's a bummer because he's an excellent pitcher and one of my favorites. *sigh* Only 35 days 'til the season starts.

Date: 2011-02-26 05:26 am (UTC)Sorry about Adam Wainwright! Losing a pitcher like that is a blow, and it's even worse when it's someone you really like.
I can't wait until baseball! Today is the first exhibition game of the season and I'm looking forward to that. I've been watching "classic Yankee" games waiting for spring training.
