Just thought I'd drop a quick 'hello' to my f-list before I'm pulled under the depths of NaNo. The briefest of updates:

Happy about the Cardinals winning the World Series.
Still employed.
Thrilled about the request I'm writing for Oz Magi.
7K words into my novel and I want to get another 1000 at least by the end of the night.
Looking forward to seeing my beloved Blackhawks in St Louis next week.

the one and only plot point is about following someone's last wish to be buried at a time when burials are outlawed. that's pretty much it.

Congratulations to the Cards! I was thinking of you while watching the replay of game 6,and was happy to see them win the Championship(since the Yankees didn't).

I'm glad you're still employed-it this a temp job or a permanent one? Do you like it?

I still can't do NaNo,but this is my 3rd year for the mini one. It's fun and for me less pressured.

I got my assignment and I can't wait to start working on it,assuming my muses cooperate!

I could never do NaNoWriMo. I get writer's block waaaay too easily.

I'm writing for mine, so hopefully writer's block will be kind to me for the next two months. I tried blocking out some ideas earlier, I'll just have to work around class.

And I copied them on my Shakespeare notes ahahafail.

I know it's hard for me sometimes with Magi especially since you're trying to do what someone else wants you to do. The trick is to find an approach that pleases you, go like crazy and then make corrections later.

I'm finally used to the idea of doing Big Bangs, but NaNo? Still terrifies me. I'm impressed with anyone who even tries.

I'm really excited about Magi too. I'm already having fun with my idea.

Big Bangs terrify me. I don't know if I could come up with more than 5000 words for any one character and putting it in established canon and making sure that it's not terrible (believe me, there's a lot of terrible in that 50K) would be the recipe for writer's block.

I've got a little inkling of an idea for Magi, but I'm not going to start full out on it until Dec. 1.
