I'm skipping around a bit to catch up.

Challenge #9

In your own space, brag about yourself. Tell us what things you've done that you're proud of; the things that make you the wonderful person you are.

Ugh. Do I have to? Okay, if I must...

First and foremost, I am a wonderful aunt to my five most favorite people in the world. I have one niece and four nephews. I don't get to see them as often as I'd like, but we have a nice time when we're together.

Writing-wise, I've done and won NaNoWriMo every year since 2009. One year, I hit the end at exactly 50,002 words, but I'm still counting it as a win. Also, I run a Facebook page called TheBarret-love Section which is entirely about hockey and has probably about 20 followers- 4 of whom are very active. It's basically a place for all the hockey stuff I want to post as well as my own observations because I didn't want to spam followers of my personal FB page with a bunch of rambling posts during the season.

I am the current maintainer of the [community profile] hardtime100 community. OZ is my primary fandom and I love being able to contribute in this way. It was the first place that I posted a fanfic so it's nice to be able to keep it going after all of this time.

I once got up to C-2 level square-dancing (which is like level 7), but that was over a decade ago and I've probably reset myself back to Mainstream level (level 2).

Some writing that I'm proud of:

One Tear - The Departed - Costigan/Dignam - I rediscovered this when I was archiving my work at Ao3. It's BDSM poetry, told in 2nd person with alternating points of view.

A Little Fall of Rain - L.A. Confidential - Bud White/Ed Exley, Lynn Bracken - Another shifting point of view piece that takes place some years after the movie ends.

A Series of Awkward Moments - OZ - Tim McManus/Sean Murphy - Shifting POVs must be one of my favorite things because here we have it again, this time with my OTP. Written for OZ Magi in 2009 for the prompt "In the beginning, there was you. There will always be you, I guess." (Only a part of the prompt makes it into the story.)

That's way too much about me. Thanks for reading.

There's a lot of hockey lovers around here too!! I don't think there's really any communities for it though.
