... who has a fascination with Jeannie Zelasco's hair? (I'm thinking - "probably") For those who can't place the name, she's FOX's baseball woman in the studio. Wonderful hair, great speaking voice but she needs to get a new wardrobe person. Soon baseball will be over for the season and it'll be another five/six months before we'll be back in the FOX studio again. And she knows her stuff too (not like the bims that used to do hockey for ABC - "you took a puck to the groin, did that hurt?")

A free weekend! Woo ha! Well, Saturday is free. And that's all I can ask for right now. Housecleaning may be on the agenda. The last two episodes of "Oz", an hour of World Series action and Chicago Blackhawks hockey definitely ARE on the agenda. Can't wait. I may do some more fic work while I'm at it. There's another 5 things prompt I like, but so far I can only think of one of the five things. But it's a doozy.

I did a draft of the Said story. It turned out okay. It doesn't have quite the energy of the other two that I've done, which is a bit disappointing.

Despite my over-exuberance in my previous post, I do feel sorry for the Mets fans who were at the game. It sucks sitting in the rain for hours only to see your team lose. But, as Cubs fans have been saying since 1909, there's always next year.

I was going to ask why you are up, but it is not so late where you are. It is 1 am here in chilly Illinois. Are you going to snag any requests from slashfest? I really need to watch more tv. I had no clue what most of the shows were, let alone had enough knowledge to write slash. I got dibs on one request each for Oz, X-men, and Harry Potter (17 and older, still I'm not too sure about slashing Potter). I'm thinking of asking for one from CSI and another from Lord of the Rings. The hobbits really need to be slashed. They are like bunnies. I wonder if Blackchaps would slash them. Good thoughts for your fic. Said is a hard one for me. He's a minor character in my Toby in Wonderland fic, and I always worry that I'm just missing getting his voice right. Slashfest

I checked out Slashfest when it was first advertised and didn't see anything I liked among the Oz prompts. I may check again, see if they have anything for Firefly. I don't watch a lot of TV. "Lord of the Rings" is one giant slashfest, I agree, but seems strange to play with "Harry Potter" in that way. Maybe if I'd read past the first 2 books/saw past the first 2 films, I'd get it. The other reason that I haven't grabbed anything is that I tend to write stories that avoid a lot of sex. (Hence the Said)

I know what you mean about Said. I still don't know if I got the voice right for him. I'm drawn to writing for him and then I start and I wonder why I started in the first place.
