I'm in crash mode right now, very ready for bed or just to get into a more comfortable position than sitting in front of my computer. Work today was weird. We went through most of the morning without really talking to each other. Usually the office staff will work and talk about different things for the better part of 6 hours, but today you could have heard a pin drop. We weren't even playing any kind of music until the afternoon. It was weird.
I went from there over to Starbucks, played around a bit on this McManus thing that I work on when I'm not playing with one of the other characters. It's fun. With Murphy again, only this time Sean is the clueless one.
I didn't get much done because I had to go from there to choir. There's a guy there that I don't care for too much - he's like the princess's counterpart (without the attraction & history). I admire his dedication but he's a bit of a prima donna asshole. That's the second time in two days that I've used that description. Am I doing something to attract prima donnas into my life? It's because I'm still not sure if I'm spelling it correctly. That's probably why. Our choir director now has us singing this really horrible song for our next big spotlight performance (we're reprising the African thing this week - it's going well). The verse is supposed to be a solo but he's having all of us sing it and it sounds and flows like mud. Not pretty at all. Kind of like the Hawks game tonight (five-zip, I'm glad I missed it).
It's sick of me to feel guilty since I haven't posted any fic since Sunday night, right? I'll put something on the HT100 tomorrow night. (I'd better since I gave the prompt). The funny thing is that I used up some of my ideas on the other things I've written (Bellinger/Schibetta) and I'm not going to oversaturate the world with Said right now (plot bunny for the stealing - Said/Adebisi - go for it), so I'm going to probably break tradition & play with Beecher for a change (Keller's not in it - I'm not breaking from tradition THAT much).

Date: 2006-10-26 09:23 pm (UTC)Prima donna is totally spelled correctly, and it is such a beautiful descriptive phrase. It paints an immediate mental picture, thereby saving time and effort. *g*
Said/Adebisi? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I have to go hide the lettuce now, that plot bunny wants feeding. And yay for Beecher!
Oh, not sure if I mentioned this, but I like your Keller. He may not be oozing with the sex, but he's still recognizably Keller.

Date: 2006-10-27 05:38 am (UTC)Well, there is that thing with everybody calling him "Keller" that would make him recognizable. Honestly though, he's a character that I can't quite get a lock on. McManus - that one I can do in my sleep, Said - I'm getting better at (still not 100 percent with him yet), Murphy - I just love, Beecher - he's pretty solid, but I figure everybody else is grabbing him, so they don't need me for that, O'Reily - I had fun with him in my crackfic & in the Murphy 5 for 6, but I haven't found the right idea for him yet (which is really sad since he is one of my faves), Vern is just plain fun, Bellinger has my maternal side (dark & light), and Schibetta compels me enough to want to write some more for him (Peter & Nino is another plot bunny I'll toss out there). Not posting tonight. Another long stressful day at work & I'm not really up for much else.
If you were wondering, the icon is one of my favorite lines from the now-defunct series "Firefly". I'm not sure how often I'll get to use it though so it'll just pop up at random from time to time. If you've never seen the show, the one & only season is on DVD - it's sci-fi fun & very well-written.
