cmk418My brother is going to be moving back in with us. This isn't a terrible thing as there are times that I wish my brother was around more, but "being around" and living under the same roof are two different things. It's basically going to be a place for him to crash and store his stuff, so I might only see him in the mornings. Of course, this means that my niece will be over every Wednesday and alternating weekends, so she'll wind up staying in my room when she does.
Going to Chicago for the gay square-dance convention starting tomorrow. I'll be there until the 5th. I'm so looking forward to it - and, in light of recent developments, will really enjoy the time away from family.
In light of the fact that free-agent days are starting tomorrow, here are a few random notes:
To Stan Bowman - Yes, we know you can make a deal. Now stop. Seriously. Unless you get a good deal for Huet. Because Marty Reasoner! = WTF? By the way, I will be within kicking distance of your office this weekend, so don't tick me off.
To Cristobal Huet - I hear Russia is lovely in the wintertime.
To the St. Louis Blues - If you don't make the playoffs, you shouldn't get to raise single-game ticket prices to ridiculous levels (much as I appreciate the Kings being part of the "value" package). I hope that you use the money that'll be coming to get some nifty free-agent prospect, preferably from Anaheim.
To Bobby Ryan and Ryan Getzlaf - the weather in St. Louis was absolutely perfect yesterday, the cost of living is super, and you could be the face of an up-and-coming franchise. And you wouldn't have to live in the O.C. anymore. And there would be no real adjustments in style of play since the Blues play the same as Anaheim. Embrace your inner-Norris division-ness and come to St. Louis.
