Date: 2012-04-19 02:36 am (UTC)#27 - Movie I hate - All Over the Guy - This movie made me want to slit my wrists, which made me also want to do terrible things to the writers of the film. Even thinking about it now, it makes me angry. It's a gay film that tries to convince the audience that "anyone can make a relationship work if they just try hard enough". Um... no. Just no.
Maybe I just didn't "get it" or maybe it's just me. But I absolutely abhorred that film.

Date: 2012-04-19 05:07 am (UTC)I'm a sucker for movies where couples survive in spite of everything, and I really wanted those two mixed up,damaged people to be happy together.
I also loved the song at the end.

Date: 2012-04-19 01:07 pm (UTC)Did I ever tell you about the time Mark Wahlberg flirted with me (prior to him getting married)? In a nutshell I was working at the film festival and he had a movie screening one night. He was all "Hi, how are you?" to a handful of us working there, all smiles and friendly and then as he was heading into his screening he reached out, and gave my right forearm a gentle squeeze and kind of huskily whispered "hey" before walking away. Needless to say two of the people I was working with flipped their shit and I was trying to be all cool and collected.

Date: 2012-04-19 03:00 am (UTC)There have been so many over the years - I'm a big fan of stoner films which aren't really known for quality. But if I'm going nostalgic, I'll have to go with the early 80s sci-fi/fantasy classic "Flash Gordon". It's a movie that I must have seen at least 30 times as a kid - we'd just gotten cable and it was one of those films that was on every other day. It's corny and the costumes are outrageous and the dialogue is terrible, but there's still something that's really charming about it. (I don't know if I can watch it every other day now though - LOL.)

Date: 2012-04-19 03:08 am (UTC)Sleeping Beauty - The animation in this is just beautiful and it's not a typical Disney musical (there's one song in it). And Malificient is just frightening. It also doesn't end with separation/desertion as two of my other favorites - Winnie the Pooh & Mary Poppins did (I was scarred for life by those movies & still can't watch Winnie the Pooh all the way to the end.)

Date: 2012-04-19 03:45 am (UTC)Sleeping Beauty, easily one of the goriest of kid movies, with the sword sticking out of Dragon!Malificient, the blood dripping from it. About the same thing happened to Ursula, but for some reason it didn't have the same effect...
