The heat is on

And the AC is virtually off (we're having service come in tomorrow to fix what's ailing it). Basically brick house = brick oven.

Been playing on tumblr a bit - it's a spot for my hockey stuff so I won't bore you all with my endless quest for Bobby Ryan and thinking about the Hawks possibly getting Luongo and STAY AWAKE DAMN IT.

Wrote my first RPF ever for femslash_today's Fireworks 12: the (Totally Not) Annual Porn Battle. Femslashy hockey goodness. Fic is here if you want to check it out.

Still employed but it's slow right now. Guess that's because no one is thinking about needing a furnace at the moment.

Nothing else particularly new. Hope everybody out there is doing okay and staying as cool as possible.

I'm okay up to a point and honestly I'm usually the one complaining about the AC being on too high & me being the one freezing so me feeling the need for AC is quite a change.

I can't imagine dealing with the kind of heat you're having to deal with. Feeling the need for AC seems perfectly reasonable to me, even for someone who feels the chill of AC. ;-)

It's been a bit of a blessing that we haven't had the typical St. Louis summer in that the humidity has been fairly low. I think if we had over 50% humidity this would be insufferable.

AC has the house below 80F now, hurrah!
