Everyone knows (it's) windy - sorry for the earworm

Sitting at home right now waiting for what TV seems to think is "the storm of the century" to come through. We live in the Midwest, why are we surprised or even impressed by storms at this point? There wasn't this overreaction when I was a kid. Sirens went off, you went downstairs, that was it. Now there's up-to-the-second information. Glad they're just pre-empting golf (I think they've learned their lesson about pre-empting hockey).

Been jonesing to write lately or work on the NaNo project that may wind up going into Year Three (it won't be a bad thing and filling in the blank spaces continues to be a good idea). I just haven't been particularly motivated- yes, I know I do have two delicious prompts for the Oziversary just waiting.

Another hockey season is coming to an end. I wasn't sad about how things turned out for the Blues, particularly since I wasn't sure they'd make the playoffs to begin with. My sister & I are going to the NHL draft in Chicago in another month so that'll be fun.

Haven't seen any movies since "Kong: Skull Island", which I liked. TV for me consists mostly of playoff hockey and the occasional episode of "Gotham", which had it's best episode of the season this past week- I could watch an entire hour of just Ed and Oswald. They are pretty funny together. The whole Court of Owls storyline has to go.

So that's it for me right now. I will try to post more frequently, although I seem to say it and then two+ months passes by before I post again. I miss throwing words into the void on a daily basis though. TTFN.

Was so bored with the Court of Owls..but Ed and Ozzie were hilarious. Those two..I like them both trying to kill each other or being allies so long as they share screentime.
Just saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2..good fun.

Haven't seen Guardians2 - I didn't really care for the first one. There's not a lot out that I want to see. Leads me to wonder if movies were better in the late 80s, early 90s or my standards were lower.

Nah, there's a lot of crap, but I loved the first one and this is more of the same. I'll be watching Wonder woman too I think.

I remember hearing that song on the radio when I was little, and I loved it because I thought they were singing about "Wendy," which is my name. Then at some point I discovered they were really saying 'Windy," and I was absolutely crushed. I've held a grudge against that song ever since. LOL

I have 3 different Big Bang-ish ideas that have been floating around my brain for a while now, and one of them in particular is begging to be written. After Murphy Appreciation Month was over, I opened up a document, named it, and then sat there and stared at the screen. After about 5 minutes, I gave up. Never wrote even a single word. I'm hoping Oziversary will help get the juices flowing again!
