Pre-series, but still in OZ
“So… tonight?” Gloria asked while they caught a few moments in the breakroom.
“Can’t,” said Diane. “Got a double.”
“As your non-doctor doctor, I need to remind you that it’s healthy for you to catch some sleep every once in a while.”
“We wouldn’t exactly be sleeping.”
“Not exactly, but it’s a lot more relaxing than patrolling for another eight hours.”
“They’re all in their cells. Trouble doesn’t rear its ugly head too often. It’s usually quiet. D’Angelo is an exhibitionist, but I tend to ignore anything that small.”
“That’s harassment.”
“That’s life in the cell block. You see a different side of it over there in the infirmary.”
“Oh please, I ask one of them to stick out his tongue, next thing I know he’s got his dick out. At that point I’ll pick up a scalpel and one of my larger clamps and say ‘Don’t worry. You won’t feel a thing.’ The pants go up pretty quickly after that.”
Diane laughed. Her voice dropped a notch as she said, “I like the clamps you’ve got in your nightstand.”
“And that’s where they’ll stay until you come over. And then they’ll go right where you really like them.”
“I think I might be feeling a touch of a cold coming on.”
Gloria placed a hand on Diane’s forehead. “You do feel a bit warm and your cheeks look a little flushed. As your non-doctor doctor, I think we have to get you into a bed immediately.”
“I might need some personalized attention.”
“Oh, I think I can give you all the tender loving care that you deserve.”
“I’ll let Leo know I can’t do a second tonight. Wait for me.”

Fem slash isn't usually my thing, but I really liked this. I like the comfortable banter between the two of them, and how they compare and contrast their jobs in Oz and what they have to deal with.
(Although now I'm envisioning Tim overhearing this entire conversation and wondering what that might lead to... ;D)
