OPPOSITES - But I'm A Cheerleader (Megan/Graham)

Megan wasn’t impressed at all by Graham at first glance. Intrigued was closer to how she felt. Graham was everything that Megan wasn’t- brash, outspoken, one of those lesbians that everyone could tell was a lesbian just by looking at her. Megan didn’t like the way that Graham could get under her skin, an itch she had to scratch. (And the scratching made her body feel oh, so good.) She could help Graham by giving her advice on how to be more feminine, because maybe, if Graham was more feminine, Megan wouldn’t be feeling the same attraction she should feel toward a boy.

DISASTER - Desert Hearts (Cay/Vivian)

She couldn’t call it a disaster, because that was for things and events larger in scope. This was an unfortunate circumstance. She’d had a fleeting indiscretion, a momentary lapse in judgment, and this was the result. A cab in front of the boarding house, her bags being brought out, fully packed. She’d wondered when Frances had begun packing them. Was at as soon as she’d arrived home after the party and neither Vivian nor Cay were around? Or was it after breakfast when neither of them were at the table? Vivian wasn’t for certain. Frances was acting as if Vivian had personally gone out of her way to bring scandal to Frances’ home. It didn’t make any sense, but then very little Frances did made sense. Cay was pleading with her not to go, but Vivian wouldn’t stay in a place where she was no longer welcome, and not knowing how the reception would be at the next place, she couldn’t exactly have Cay come to stay with her. If anything was a disaster, it was the mess that was made of their friendship by that one moment in the rain. She should never have rolled the damned window down.
