CAFÉ - OZ (Diane Wittlesey/Gloria Nathan)
“Feel like going out for a cup of coffee?” Gloria asked.
Diane looked from the cup of coffee in her hand to Gloria’s hopeful face.
“Okay,” Gloria backtracked. “Maybe not coffee. Maybe like a sandwich or something. Like lunch?”
“I bring my lunch,” said Diane. “Costs too much to go out.”
“They have this little folk band that plays music every Tuesday afternoon. I thought you might want to hear them.”
“Folk music?”
“Let me guess. Not your thing.”
“I don’t know.”
“Alright, I’m just going to dive in here. I think you’re someone that I wouldn’t mind getting to know better.”
“You sound like a guy that’s looking for sex.”
“I’m not a guy.”
“Oh. Okay. I hadn’t considered…”
“That’s alright. It probably wasn’t…”
“I’m considering it now.”
“Oh. Well, just let me know.” Gloria started to leave the breakroom.
“Gloria.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes.”
LOST - Hockey RPF (Amanda Kessel/Hilary Knight)
“I’m never going to get in the circle, so I don’t know why we need to go through after this every practice,” Amanda said.
“First of all, you don’t know that. People get tossed all the time. Second of all, it’s fun. And lastly…”
“I knew this would be a three point lecture.”
“You lost, so pay up.”
“You cheated!”
“If you don’t get caught at it, is it cheating or is it skill?”
“You are worse than Crosby when it comes to that.”
“You’re stalling.”
“Maybe we should do something different to decide these things.”
“Maybe you should just get better at faceoffs.”
“Arrgh! It’s hard to do that when you cheat.”
“Kes.”
“Knighter.”
“Quit stalling.”
“Fine. What do you want?”
“You. Naked. On your knees in your hotel room, waiting for me.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Amanda said. She smiled and wondered if Hilary knew she lost more than a few of those face-offs on purpose.
