She let me die. I can’t tell you how much it hurts me. Not just the once, because we now know that in the precious other Multi-verse, that she could have hauled me out of the car, but, no, she had the antidote right there, ready to go. All she had to do was inject me. Make it up to me for not helping me when the car went under, make it up to me for not finding me when I was in that horrible place, make it up to me for having our father to herself all these years. It was right. It was justice. For someone with such a hero complex, she should have seen it. Instead she saves Little Miss Multiverse.
News flash, sister, you already saved her! How about saving someone else for a change? How about saving the person who is your flesh and blood in this world?
When she wonders why I am the way I am, it’s because of her. Because she had the chance to do right by me and she failed once again. And you know what really gets under my skin, the fact that she had to come to me and tell me that she’d turned her back on me. Who does that? She should have just left it alone. I wouldn’t have known her treachery then. I could have just felt my life draining away and then in a strange twist of fate, be re-energized. She wanted me to know she chose her- the other Beth, the nice and not-crazy Beth, the Beth with the perfect life and perfect family who never felt unloved or unwanted. To be honest, I liked that Beth too. I would have liked to have been her. Weird that the Multiverse chose to put her here and not me there. Guess it’s just another case of me getting crapped on by fate. Well, the other Beth is gone now, and now it’s just me, the Beth-but-not-Beth. Alice. I need to find Mouse and once I do, this town is going to pay.
