More painting fun

My mom picked up a black plastic flower pot and told me to have fun.

This is the finished project. I'm quite pleased with it.







When I lived in LA, I was able to paint my bathroom. I painted the door in a sunny yellow and then added green vines throughout the room. This reminds me a bit of that on a smaller, more colorful scale.

(I think I'm going to wind up getting a different type of orange paint, this one seems to be very hard to work with.)

Oh, this is really lovely! I'm not usually a fan of orange, but this is a mellow one. The two parts contrast nicely and the overall looks very plant-y and aquatic/marshy with a sense of motion in the green fronds. Nicely done.

Thank you! I thought the yellow/green portion turned out nicely.

The issue I have with the orange isn't so much the shade as the texture. I didn't purchase it with the other paints and got it at a different store, but it seems a lot thicker and doesn't play as well with others as I would like. Maybe there's something I'm missing with it.

Thank you! I think she's going to have me do another one at some point.

I don't have any purple, which I want to get and the only white I have is the same consistency as that orange (which I like as a color, but despise as a paint texture), so I'm going to have to go back to the art store soon.

That sounds like fun, post pictures if you do. I'm so non-creatively challenged that I have to live vicariously through others. :D

A trip to the art store sounds like a trip to the bookstore - never not fun (and likely expensive). :)
