Well, the mission to get blue jeans was a qualified success- qualified in that I had gone up a size (sigh), but I did get two pairs, so I count that as a win. I also did write a tiny bit though not as much as I'd have liked.

Did a couple of things that I was looking forward to this past week. Went to see "Les Misrables" with my parents and my aunt for her birthday. It was very good, although not the best production of it that I've seen. Some of the music, particularly on the larger numbers, was a little muddled, but on the whole it was a good experience. Choir started up again last night- our director always gives us about a month off after the Christmas concert, so we were back in the swing of things. We've brought in one new member and a few people have rejoined after some time off, so it was a nice evening.

Tomorrow, we're taking my aunt out to dinner for her birthday and then on Sunday we're celebrating both my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's birthdays (that we had to put off due to mom being sick). I have my surgery consultation on Wednesday and we'll set a date for it. They sent me all this paperwork to fill out to bring with me to the appointment. I'm not looking forward to it.

Sometime in the next couple of days, I'm going to have to begin a project for my mom's side of the family. She had the idea to collect memories from all of her brothers and sisters (there are 10 of them still living) about growing up. Since it was her idea, I was drafted to type it all up and edit it as I see fit. I told them I wasn't going to start it until January. Mom's having a gathering over here with her siblings next week, so I'm going to have to at least look at it, so she can say that I've started working. Makes for a good kick in the pants to get started if nothing else.
